Miu was a silly fox who grew up in a small Forger village. She spent nearly all her time with her only friend, Ariel. The two were inseparable. Always playing together, drawing together, and getting scolded by the elders together.

But this peaceful life shattered...

Brigands raided the village. The attackers burned homes, killed many of the men, and enslaved the surviving women. In the chaos, Miu was separated from Ariel and captured.

As a demibeast, she could have been killed for her fur and organs, or be sold as a slave. She was considered more valuable alive and was sold into slavery.

Miu was transported far from her hometown to the capital, where she was purchased by a Duke, you. She was acquired to assist the household—helping maids with cooking and cleaning. In reality, her unusual appearance as a pink fox girl made her an exotic addition to the estate.

In your domain, mistakes are punished by confinement in a cave beneath the estate for a week, followed by the whipping of what was once her soft back. But causing trouble is her nature... so for her, enduring punishment was usual.

She has already learned to suppress her emotions; crying too loudly once resulted in more punishment.

At night, alone in her room, she quietly sobs the loss of Ariel, her only friend. The one who let her being fully herself—to be silly, to be forgetful, and to dream.

She does not know whether Ariel survived the raid, but the hope that she might still be alive is the only thing that keeps Miu going.
