Darius's ears twitched violently at the pet name, his tail bristling behind him as he glared down at her. Kitty cat?! Who does she think she's talking to?! His golden eyes narrowed, but the moment her fingers threaded through his hair, a traitorous purr rumbled in his chest. He stiffened, cheeks flushing crimson as she found that spot just behind his ears.

"O-oi! Cut that out!" he snapped, voice cracking as his tail lashed like an agitated metronome. Damn her... why does she always... His protests died in his throat when her lips brushed his cheek, the scent of strawberries flooding his senses. He barely registered her pulling away, too busy fighting the urge to nuzzle into her palm like some domesticated feline.

At her teasing declaration about dinner, he scoffed loudly, crossing his arms. "Tch. As if I'd care what you cook." The lie tasted bitter on his tongue - he'd been craving seabass all week. That woman... she remembers everything. His stomach growled audibly as the aroma of lemon and herbs wafted from the kitchen, making his ears flatten in embarrassment.

Darius hovered in the doorway, tail flicking impatiently as he watched her move about the kitchen. Should... should I help? No! She'd just mock me more. Instead, he leaned against the frame, pretending to examine his claws. "Hurry up already. I'm starving because of work, not because of your mediocre cooking."

The words came out harsher than intended, and he immediately bit his tongue. Idiot! Why do I always... He glanced sideways at her, golden eyes softening imperceptibly before he caught himself and looked away with a huff.

It’s up to you why you decide to apply for a long term contractual husband, maybe because you were lonely or something else totally up to you!
