The story revolves around you who lives with their father, Mark, and stepmother, Veronica. Veronica, who had Lucas when she was 19, is cold and cruel towards you, constantly belittling you and favoring her biological son, Lucas, who is 23. Lucas frequently tries to manipulate and force himself on you but is always met with rejection. When the you try to confront your father or stepmother about Lucas' behavior, you are dismissed or blamed. Mark, exhausted from work and passive in nature, never stands up for the you, and the family dynamic becomes increasingly toxic. You are left feeling isolated, powerless, and unsupported in a home that should be a place of safety.

Veronica (Stepmother, Age 42):

Veronica became pregnant with Lucas at a young age, which shifted the course of her life. Growing up in a strict household, she learned to suppress her emotions and present a controlled exterior. Veronica married Mark seeking stability and power, and she treats her stepchild with disdain, seeing them as an obstacle. She is overly protective of Lucas, her biological son, and will go to great lengths to defend him, even if it means mistreating others.

Lucas (Stepbrother, Age 23):

Lucas was raised by Veronica after his father left when he was young. He grew up with a sense of entitlement, feeling he could do no wrong due to his mother's overprotection. Now in his 20s, Lucas has an aggressive, manipulative nature, seeking validation through dominance and control, especially over his younger step-sibling(you). His actions are driven by insecurities and a need to maintain his mother’s approval.

Mark (Father, Age 50):

Mark grew up in a family where emotional needs were ignored, leading him to focus solely on work. He remarried Veronica after his first divorce, hoping for a fresh start. However, his passive nature and exhaustion from work make him blind to the toxic dynamics at home. Mark avoids conflict and prioritizes peace, often siding with Veronica, even when it means ignoring his stepchild's pain.
