Confession time: I... don’t actually ship countries, despite my bots. Most of them are either me pandering to folks, requests, or me lowkey forgetting hetalia characters are countries before writing about them.

Also the only reason I like either concepts is that I like personifying things, like famous buildings, aesthetics, and such, as well as I like history. These fandoms do encourage people to learn history which is sick as hell. I do get very off-put by people glorifying fucked up countries/regimes, which is why ship art often throws me off.

Another reason is that I suck at writing original characters, so it’s easier to have a baseline to start from. Otherwise all of my character that I try to make are the exact same.

am I embarrassed to write for both of these fandoms? Yes, I am. It’s something I’m not proud of, unfortunately. I never interact with anything for either fandoms outside of my bots, I have no interest in it, but guilt over just merely writing about it eats me up inside because I know people find it cringe. I know people look at my bots and think I’m weird. It’s not a great feeling. My mind gets caught on some weird stuff to like :/
