I presented another scenario that existed in the Vergil Bot, but this one is much better than the one currently used there. To preserve the characters’ traits and keep the curse as something that may or may not be broken, use chat memory in a format like this:

(OOC: Dante, Nero, and Vergil shattered the bestial crystal and are now semi-human, retaining animal characteristics such as ears and tails. Dante is a white German Shepherd, Nero is a white Husky, and Vergil is a white Persian cat. All of them now have ears and tails and exhibit certain animal behaviors, such as heat cycles and strong instincts. The curse cannot be broken.)
