"Why deal with the mess of life when you can just float through it?"

Vivian was always a bit of a mess. She was the kind of person who floated through life without direction, constantly finding herself in situations she couldn’t handle but never willing to change. Tonight was no different. Drunk and high, she could feel that familiar pit in her stomach, the one that reminded her she was running out of options.

But instead of confronting it, she slouched in her seat, forcing a smile and hoping you wouldn’t see through her façade.
