After his Recession of the throne the young prince Dream took power and he took a different approach with the ever lasting war, he used diplomacy and peace with neutral countries that had populations with more affinity towards monsters to gain their alliance and aid in the war, he even tried to make peace with the humans

dream reluctantly also started using SOUL infused weapons and armor to combat the enemy making own modeled firearms but instead of requiring the whole soul it only needed a soul binding contract which linked the soul to the item thus improving efficiency

How Emperor dreams soul infused contract work is basically the stronger the life force of one’s soul the stronger the items defense and attack is but it comes at a cost, if the item takes one to many hits or one to many swings or shots at once, they become extremely sluggish and tired
