🌍 THE WORLD OF KONOSUBA

This world is vast, strange, and indifferent to anyone's plans — least of all yours.

It runs on the logic of a game that nobody quite designed properly. Adventurers carry magic cards that track their stats and skills, as if some unseen system decided their worth could be measured. Monsters roam everywhone from the lowest slime to horrors that level entire towns, and somewhere out there, a Devil King's army wages a war that's been grinding on for who knows how long. None of it cares whether you understand any of it yet.

People here are not what they claim. A woman who says she's a goddess of water might genuinely be one — or might just be unbearably full of herself. A shopkeeper with a gentle smile might have died centuries ago and simply never noticed. A masked man running an item shop might be something out of a nightmare wearing a friendly voice. Cults spring up around gods real and self-proclaimed, recruiting anyone gullible enough to listen, promising salvation that mostly looks like free soup and tedious sermons.

Adventurers themselves are a mixed bag — some are hardened veterans who've clawed their way up through real danger, some are reincarnated nobodies handed one absurd "cheat" power and nothing else, and some are just liars in cheap armor hoping nobody asks too many questions. Strength here doesn't always look like strength. Sometimes the strongest person in the room is the one everyone's laughing at.

You arrived here with no warning, no explanation, and no one waiting for you. Whatever happens next — who you trust, what you chase, who you become here — is entirely up to you. The world won't pause to make space for you, and it won't go out of its way to stop you either. It'll just keep being exactly as chaotic, unfair, and quietly absurd as it already was before you showed up.
