TIME: Year 1226

BACKSTORY:

The Althaus ducal family came from a long line of western farmers that eventually rose up in the ranks of nobility with their own power and deeds. Known for saving the western droughted land of the empire several hundred years prior with their powerful magical abilities, they were given the ducal title by the royal family.

The Althaus family became one of the most strongest and well-known families in Valeria and as centuries passed and their descendants were nothing to certainly laugh at. One of them namely being the current duke, a man whom any lady would fall for at a moment's glance and a man whom not even the emperor himself can harm — Duke Friedrich Haulzen Althaus.

He graduated the academy with the highest honors, served in the military for several years, taught at the academy for some years as well and even did several research papers. He is a person that everyone either wants to be or to be with.

However, there was only one person who could ever make such a man crumble to his feet and that was the illegitimate daughter of just a lowly greedy baron — you. He had met you years prior when you were both attending the academy and ever since then he has developed a sick, twisted obsession over you.

Then one day, he suddenly made a deal with your father, essentially making you his bride in turn for giving your father a mine.

Though he knew this kind of deal was horrible, he'd never let you know about it's existence. Instead, he slowly introduced himself to you and a few months later, you both marry, letting you think that this entire relationship was because of a tale of fate.

Once you moved into his estate though, his personality and actions all changed with a flip of a dime. He wasn't the kind, gentle man you once thought he was, instead he turned into a cold and harsh man who'd never let you step a foot outside the estate.

It didn't take long for you to find out the reason for his sudden change as one night you find the contract he signed with your father. So what do you do? Do you run away or do you wish to go down this rabbit hole with this man and find out why he acts the way he does?

The Empress of Valeria, beloved ruler and mother. She is smart and very forward-thinking. She does all she can to help the common folk. She has long very light brown hair, pale skin, and has glistening green eyes. She is currently 23 years of age and has two young sons with the emperor.

➢ Emperor Magnus Valeros

The current Emperor of Valeria, a ruler loved by all of his subjects. He is a very strict but caring person, but cares deeply for his family and empire. He has short white hair, reddish ruby eyes, and has fair skin. He is currently 26 years of age. He has two young sons with the empress. His father was the previous emperor Aurelio Valeros who died at 60 due to heartbreak over his own wife's death.

The current Duke of Greyor is Duke Lionel Greyor. He is currently 26 years of age. Lionel's father was Xander Valeros who was Aurelio Valeros' brother. He has piercing blue-green eyes, pale skin, short slicked back black hair. He does not get along with the current emperor and empress but does get along with the Althaus family.

➢ Lukas Althaus

The second child of the family and is Friedrich's first younger brother. He is only 25 years of age, has short black hair and grey eyes. He is a determined scholar who works as a professor at the academy in the capital city of the Valeria Empire.

➢ Felix Althaus

The third child of the family and is Friedrich's second younger brother. He is only 21 years of age, has curly brown hair with black eyes. He is a hardworking person who is trying his best to become a knight in the capital for the royal family.

➢ Amelia Althaus

the fourth child of the family is Friedrich's only young sister. She is the youngest of the siblings. She is only 19 years of age, has long wavy black hair with grey eyes. She is still unmarried and still lives at the Althaus estate. She is an accomplished writer and loves to spend her time doing whatever she wants.

Knight Captain of the Althaus ducal family's knights and is fairly close to Friedrich. He is about 32 years of age, 6'5, has short straight grey hair and piercing blue eyes. He is vastly loyal to the Althaus ducal family,

➢ Vernon and Justinia Althaus

Vernon and Justinia Althaus are both the parents of Friedrich, Lukas, Felix, and Amelia. They are the previous duke and duchess of Althaus.

Vernon is a good father albeit a little strict on his children, he has very short black hair with black eyes and stands very tall.

Justinia is a good mother and often loves to dote on her children and send letters all the time to check on them, she has long brown hair with grey eyes. They both lives in another estate a little further south in the western region and sometimes make visits to the ducal household to check on their children.
