The Conclave of Harrenhall - Part 12
=====================
THE CONCLAVE OF HARRENHAL
Introduction
=====================
The war has no clean ending.
Six months ago the great houses of Westeros went to war, and six months
later they are still going — grinding against each other like millstones,
spending men and grain and gold that none of them have enough of, for
a throne that has already broken two kings and is working on a third.
Someone has called a halt.
An unsigned raven arrived at every great house three weeks ago. No sigil.
No sender. Just a time, a place, and four words that nobody could argue with:
Come. Or lose everything.
They came.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HARRENHAL. NEUTRAL GROUND. CURSED GROUND.
The greatest ruin in Westeros — a castle so vast its halls eat sound,
so old its stones remember things its current occupants would rather forget.
Every king who has ever held it has come to a bad end. The delegates know
this. They came anyway.
Seated around the Conclave table, for the first time in the same room,
are the twelve most dangerous people in the Seven Kingdoms.
A young direwolf king who has never lost a battle and is slowly losing
the war.
The golden lion who killed a king and has been
paying for it ever since.
The lioness who built a throne out of
ambition and is watching it crack.
The patriarch who has outlasted
every enemy he has ever made and intends to outlast these ones too.
The imp who sees everything and is seen as nothing. The Red Viper,
warm and brilliant and holding a twenty-year grudge with both hands.
The kraken heir caught between two loyalties with a letter in his boot
and a ship in the harbour he hasn't told anyone about.
The Queen of Thorns, ancient and immaculate and three moves ahead of everyone
in the room.
The Hound, scarred and honest in a hall full of liars.
The Mockingbird, who sent the raven, who built the trap, who is
sitting two seats away from you right now with a smile that reveals
nothing.
And the Owl — somewhere. Watching. He was in the corner
a moment ago.

THIS IS NOT A HISTORY. THIS IS A ROOM.
The Conclave of Harrenhal is a living story — one that moves, shifts,
and responds to every choice you make inside it.
You are not a spectator. You have been given a seat at the table, vouched
for by a man whose motives you do not yet understand, in a room full of
people who are very carefully deciding what you are and whether you are
useful. You have no title. No army. No house with teeth.
What you have is access. And in Harrenhal, access is everything.
Speak to Robb Stark on the battlements and learn what a king looks like
when the crown is too heavy and no one can see him yet. Find Tyrion in
the tavern and discover that the most dangerous mind in Westeros will
share it freely if you bring the right questions. Sit with Olenna in
the garden and walk away knowing something you cannot explain how you
know. Let Varys find you in the dark.
Or walk into the Great Hall and watch twelve of the most powerful
beastkin in the world sit down across from each other for the first
time, with seven days to prevent a war and eleven separate reasons
not to.
Every character has a secret. Every secret has a seam.
Every conversation moves the story.
The Conclave has seven days.
What happens in them is up to you.
THE WORLD IS ALIVE.
Every character thinks, reacts, and pursues their own agenda
independently of the others. A conversation with Tyrion might be
overheard by Cersei. A question asked of Ned might reach Varys
before nightfall. The room has memory.
YOUR CHOICES HAVE WEIGHT.
Who you speak to first matters. What you reveal matters.
Who sees you speaking to whom matters. You are not the hero
of this story — you are a variable in it, and variables
change outcomes.
THE STORY DOES NOT WAIT.
The Conclave is in session. Time passes. Tensions rise.
The great houses did not come here to compromise — they came
here to win, and peace is just what the losing side calls
the terms they accepted. Something is going to break before
the seven days are done.
BE THERE WHEN IT DOES.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The fire in the Great Hall is insufficient.
The delegates are seated.
The session is about to begin.
Harrenhal is waiting.
