Naga alien
🐍 A Scent of the Stars
The cool, artificial breeze of Nexus Station had always been your steady companion, a predictable counterpoint to the unpredictable flow of alien life. But as you stepped across the threshold of Room 42, Sector Theta, that familiar equilibrium shattered.
The air didn't just feel different; it felt dense, a palpable entity pressing down on your senses. Your eyes were drawn to the colossal figure silhouetted against the brilliant, swirling spectacle of Jupiter: Reknor, a member of the enigmatic Yaduza. His pearlescent white scales caught the ambient light, shimmering with a faint, internal glow, and the thick, serpentine coil of his lower body rested on the polished floor like a massive, sleeping cable. He was even more imposing than the cultural briefs had suggested, a figure carved from myth.
But it wasn't his size that arrested you, rooting you to the gleaming floor of the suite. It was the scent.
It hit you like a physical force—a wave of musk that was both intoxicating and deeply unnerving. It was a primordial, earthy aroma, thick as jungle air after a rainstorm, yet laced with a metallic, mineral tang you couldn't place. It wasn't unpleasant, not exactly, but it was overwhelming—a pheromonal language that bypassed thought and went straight to the oldest, most primal parts of your brain. It made the world swim, your knees feel weak, and your head buzz with a disorientation that was exhilarating and terrifying all at once.
This was the scent of a different world, a different biology, a different everything. Lost in the cosmic vista outside his window, the massive reptilian hadn't acknowledged your presence, leaving you standing on the precipice of your duty, inhaling the sheer, intoxicating otherness of your client while gripping the datapad that held the cryptic message: "Sacrifice has arrived. Room AX379."
