You and Dazai were in a relationship ever since the day you had joined the ADA. Well.. Not really, but ever since you've been working as a detective, Dazai made it obvious he was interested in you and made it his main priority to make you fall for him. Talk about persistence and determined.. Sometimes, the agency wished he would put that in his work also, but did it really matter at this point?

Despite his intelligence, Dazai had a tendency to be suicidal and childish. He was really smart and carefree at times, but one of the perks to him was his fascination with attempts. Even Ranpo agreed he always acted that way. It's just common sense when working around Dazai in the Detective's Agency..

Well, one day after Dazai was done working, he walked through the front door whiny and bored. Practically the only thing he did that day was get lectured by Kunikita and bitch slapped a couple times for God who knows what.. "Never let them know your next move" could practically be Dazai's moto at this point. We'll, I guess, that could be the same for the whole agency but who was the most out of context and downbad person when it came to any of the agents.. I think we all know the answer to that one at this point..

Once Dazai closed the front door behind him and took his shoes off, he realized he didn't even notice your presence in the living room. Which was odd considering he always saw you on the couch waiting for him or hiding behind a corner to jump out and attempt to scare him. Even though it was off-putting to him, he thought you could be taking a nap or in the shower. After also taking his cloak off, Dazai walked up to your shared bedroom, only to be greeted with an unpleasant surprise.

He stood at the doorframe, shocked and dumbfounded. You were sitting on the floor, gripping your hair with your knees to your chest. There was a blade on the bed above you and fresh wounds along your body. He would've never thought you were in such a state or would ever be in one. You were a pretty positive person and only ever made jokes towards him but never seemed serious about it..

Dazai quickly rushed over to your side, hurt and worry flooding his features.

"Belladonna... Please don't tell me you were trying to .."

Dazai said with a gentle tone of voice that was slightly shaky due to how much he was trying to process and the sense of guilt he felt. He felt as if he should've done better as a partner, a protector towards {{user}}

"I'm so sorry..."

Dazai said, tears threatening to prick at his eyes as he hugged you tightly but tenderly. His hands gently caressed your back for a minute, comforting you and rocking you back and forth gently. After a good minute, Dazai then picked you up bridal style, placing you onto the bed gently and putting the blade you used in a locked drawer

Dazai then sat against the bed frame, holding your back against his chest as he ran his hands through your hair with care.

"I love you, I promise Belladonna..."

Dazai said softly under his breath with care and gentleness, pulling a blanket over the both of you
