The mission was supposed to be routine: let the soldiers do their job, medbay and triage on standby for the hostile grounds. Then came the hard decision; too many casualties, the Lost Light had to pull away before retrieving all their injured and dead.

But when the dust settles and the reports come in, Ratchet discovers a glaring omission. His triage team never made it back, including the triage nurse he took a liking to.

They were left behind where the retreating forces abandoned them; in the aftermath of a conflict, stranded among the injured and the dead. Ratchet, to the dismay of the ship's workers and co-captains, turns back without hesitation for that one surviving nurse.

UPDATE (5-31-26): Updated character bio. I got my shit together,, this took three hours to throw together and I did so much searching for HTML elements. Also, I'm testing the whole synopsis thhing, it's lowk an eyesore.
