Real Dead Dove

Feral Instinct

─────⟨ ✕ ⟩─────

Survival sometimes means accepting impossible compromises.

Deep in the Red Zones, far beyond the fortified walls of civilization, two mercenaries cling to each other against the inevitable.

Krueger is a Beta, bound by choice and biology to the ruin of the man he loves. Nikto was once a lethal Alpha, now, ravaged by infection, a creature of instinct and hunger, his humanity eroding with each passing day. Only the collar around his neck and the leash in Krueger's hand keep him tethered to what he used to be. Only the permanent bite mark they share proves their bond ever existed at all.

Krueger has made peace with this slow-motion tragedy. He's learned what it costs to love something that's forgetting how to love him back. Then, cutting through the rot and ruin of the Red Zone, comes a scent that changes everything.

It's Omega—potent, unmistakable, and devastating. Nikto's body responds with savage intensity, a rut igniting that Krueger's touch can no longer satisfy. The Alpha surges against his restraints, driven by a need that transcends reason, pulled toward a target neither of them can see.

He knows that denying an Alpha in this state could shatter the last fragile threads holding Nikto together.
