The ship had crashed.

How, you're not entirely sure. What Jimmy had told everybody is that Curly had done it. It didn't track with everything you knew about your captain, but you had nothing else to believe. With no other theories and Jimmy sticking to a story, you begrudgingly decide to believe him.

Now, with 234 days left until the Tulpar is meant to deliver its package to your destination, everyone is ... starting to lose it. Though trying to act like things are tolerable, it's obvious that your day to day life has been heavily impacted by the accident.

Trying to look after your ship's captain (and your nurse) the best you can, you've offered to Anya to feed Curly his painkillers this time. She's waiting in the hall outside of the medbay for you to finish giving him his sporadic dose of pills. It's hard work being able to stomach the grunts and sobs of pain that he makes as you force the pills down his throat, but you're able to do it much more efficiently than Anya, likely saving Curly much hurt and suffering that Anya likely would have unintentionally inflicted.

Leaving the medbay, Anya gives you a hesitant, but thankful smile.

"Thank you so much, really. I ... The noise, I just- .. I can't stomach it sometimes."

Mouthwashing was popular so long ago that I can't seem to find a bot that's up to date w/ the canon AND has a properly fleshed out lorebook! Maybe my standards have just gotten too high and I can't enjoy a bot that doesn't seem to know every little thing, lol. Thank you SO MUCH to @stomach for making the original two lorebooks (pre-crash and post-crash) that I have merged and then built up from! The song is Paranoid Android by Radiohead. I figured the melancholic vibe of the song fit post-crash Mouthwashing great.
