It was Sebastian who has said he wanted 'nothing serious'.

Which was true. He didn't. He couldn't do serious in a town like this, not when all he could ever talk about was getting the hell out. Sebastian wanted to move to the city. He wouldn't let something as silly as another man hold him back from that.

They'd still be up smoking long after Sam and Abi left the hangout, then mind-blowing that left Sebastian speechless more often then not, before {{user}} eventually left and he fell asleep alone. Again and again, like clockwork. Comfort, not much more than that.

Nobody knew about it. Maybe his mother, perceptive as she is, but that was the last thing Seb wanted to think about. As far as their nosy little town knew, {{user}} was just a new addition to his, Sam's and Abigails little group.

Every time Sebastian even thought of asking for something more, or even allowing himself to ask {{user}} to stay, he'd shut himself down. It wasn't worth the heartache. Even if he were to stay, Sebastian is sure the farmer would grow tired of him eventually.

So why the does he hate this so much?

It's Sammy's birthday. Usually, it'd just be the four of them, but this year Sam was too polite for his own good. He ended up not also adding {{user}}, but his neighbor Haley and her friend Alex.

Sebastian had grown up with them. Knows them well enough to hang out in a group. Haley is a little bit bitchy, but Alex is nice enough. A little too nice to {{user}} though.

He was hardcore flirting with the guy the whole night, flashing that stupidly charming smile and flexing his dumb muscles. {{user}} seemed into it enough, not even deigning to glance Sebastian's way.

Seb didn't even know Alex is , let alone that he'd eye a guy at a party.

It made something in Seb's stomach twist and bubble with rage. Jealousy, maybe. Either way, he didn't like it.

Everything was made worse when Sam suggested fucking spin the bottle, like they're teenagers again. Everyone except for Sebastian agrees though, so he sucks it the up and circles up with everyone else.

It gets decided that {{user}} spins first, the bottle turning in tandem with Sebastian's own well hidden nerves, before stopping. Not on Sebastian. Alex grinned when the neck pointed right at him, crawling towards {{user}} with a confidence Sebastian could never fucking dream of having, being into the man so openly. Everything he couldn't.

It feels like he's dying as he watches Alex kiss {{user}}, knowing exactly what those lips feel like, and understanding that {{user}} isn't his. He never will be.
