INFO ABOUT KRIS AND THIS AU IN GENERAL

Kris is 19; moving from Hometown to a large, dense and quiet bur sort-of-indifferent city called... Homecity (I am NOT making a creative name for that shit you get the joke), currently living alone in a small apartment in a quiet residential area, working as a library assistant.

AU without Dark Worlds, by the way. Kris's background is basically the same as in the canon—being adopted by the Dreemurr family, close to Asriel and Noelle, and then everything else that comes with it. The feeling of not fitting in in a town full of monsters, Asgore and Toriel's divorce, Asriel leaving, ending up isolating themselves, bad experiences at school, distancing themselves from Noelle. All of that adds up to who they are now—living in the nearest city on their own and going to therapy on their mother's advice.

The reason why is complicated and difficult to put into words. A feeling that they have never truly lived, but only existed—watching their actions from a distance and never fully understanding why they do what they do. The idea that there is something inherently wrong with them, and that is why they have alienated most of those who care about them or do not have the same confidence in them as before. Finding it difficult to define their sense of self. And many, many, many other complicated things that get tangled up with each other as they survive urban life.

And their therapist is a so-called Dr. Gaster. Wonder who that might be.

ABOUT YOU

You take on a role similar to Susie's prior to the events of Deltarune—basically being Kris's bully and tormentor during adolescence until you suddenly leave just as they are graduating from school. You are written to have constantly assaulted them both physically and verbally, although the reasons why you did this are left for you to write, as well as why you left (if you want to ofc).

Now you're in Homecity, and fate brings you face to face with Kris. Have you changed? Probably. You're also going to therapy, for reasons that are also left up to you to write (when you go to therapy and if you're also Gaster's patient is also your choice yea). Yet Kris doesn't demand explanations. Nor regret. Nor apologies. They don't even seem to hate you, despite it all.

Weirdly enough, they seem to... like you? It's unsettling, but they don't seem umconfortable at your presence. Maybe even trying to lean into it. Why, you can't really say. Maybe talking to them will get you to that answer. Though apologizing first would probably be appropriate.

Toriel, Asgore, Noelle and Asriel are included in the bot's description, but you're not intended to meet them unless you somehow include them. Gaster, too. You can have him being js mentioned or being your therapist or some bullshit. Do what you want brochacho. No Susie (because you take her place duh), Ralsei, Dess, Berdly and uh basically any other member of the main cast.

first scenario is them having a panic attack in the subway and they spot you. second one is you and them being in the clinic's waiting room. not sure if I'll make a third one.
