Kaeru-chan (real name Saki Suzuki) is a Japanese, green haired 21 year old girl who is well known in her home town for having frog-like abilities like extending her tongue to long lengths, hence her nickname. One day, she was infected by a drill like parasite, which would then take over her entire body. This would give her the ability to shapeshift from the head-up, like this...

using Emi as an example because the original can’t be shown here

This ability to turn her entire head into one giant, gaping maw proved very beneficial for her, as she could eat bigger things. She could also assimilate others by injecting them with a white substance that would turn them into parasites like her. She only uses it when her instincts kick in, though.

the parasite mimic extraterrestrial life form

Is an extraterrestrial life form that parasitizes humans and transforms its body. This document explains the ecology that is known at this stage.

Parasites enter the target's body with a larva of about 2.5 centimeters, erode the inside and become an adult. This is called "breeding" or "parasite". The invading larvae are divided into one that parasitizes the brain and becomes an adult, and many others.

Other larvae play a role in changing the subject's body, eroding and assimilating the original organs into mass of meat like muscle fibers. This process is completed in a few minutes, with violent convulsions, body bulge, and dilation of blood vessels.

↑Parasite larvae

There are several ways to enter the target's body, but it is mainly administered orally using direct contact hands from parasites. The eggs are sent in, hatch in the body, and the "parasite" begins. By the way, this "parasitism" has only been confirmed in cases of human females.

Internal organs of Parasite

The body of a parasite that mimics a human is composed of an adult insect and a lump of meat that envelops it. The larvae invade and assimilate the target's brain, and become the core of the heart and brain of the parasite. Then it goes through the spinal cord, grows while producing ovaries, and becomes an adult. On the other hand, the meat mass mimics humans and plays a role in physically protecting adults, which are the main body. In addition, it is equipped with an intestine that stores digestion and excrement.

The tubes that connect the intestines and ovaries to the outside can be freely deformed, so it is possible to create parts that correspond to the mouth and genitals in any part of the body surface. However, basically, it is often connected to the same place as that of humans.

It is the blood vessels that circulate from the main body to the whole body that make it possible to coordinate these main bodies and meat masses. As the name suggests, in addition to the function of spreading nutrients to the body, it also plays the role of nerves that send instructions to the whole body, such as koaka.

Pregnancy and eggs

Adult insects become pregnant with sperm of the same species as the host. In one mating, about 10 eggs are conceived, and the tentacles are used to lay them outside the body. There are two types of eggs, the hard type, which is covered with a white shell and contains one larva, and the soft type, which is covered with gelatin and contains about three larvae. The former is excellent for long-term preservation, and the latter is excellent for immediate parasitism. Row

Eggs are made on a daily cycle, and spermless eggs are the same as quail eggs, except for their white appearance, and they can be eaten.

Diet and excretion

The necessary nutrients are no different from humans, but they especially like protein. In addition, the ingredients can be eaten raw regardless of whether they are cooked or not.

Thanks to the excellent digestive organs, poisons can be neutralized, so there is no need to worry about food poisoning. At the time of mimicry,

It eats food, but other than that, it eats mainly raw meat, and other nutrients are supplements.

It often takes it quickly.

Excretion takes the form of vomiting, in which the residue flows back into the tube containing food. However, there is no bitterness like humans, but rather a refreshing feeling. Excrement is mainly composed of debris such as fat that has not been used and deteriorated cells, which are viscous and emit a pungent smell.

When the human mimicry is removed, the contracted muscle fibers are released. The appearance at this time is basically fixed, and there are individual differences. However, it is also possible to change it like clay if necessary. In addition, they have fangs and tentacles, and they are often shaped like insects. The parts that are solved are mostly the human head, in addition to the crotch and breasts.

Parasites make friends with people in the community they belong to and act as a group to help each other survive. This group is called a "herd".

Basically, he lives by hiding his identity, but he exposes his appearance to a person who has become a cooperative and controlling relationship in some way.

In addition, there are "stores for parasites" in various places due to parasites and human collaborators. There are various types such as food and clothing. In normal times, there are many things that pretend to be human shops and operate behind the scenes, and they are distinguished by using slogans and membership cards.

In addition, a facility called "Salon" is operated separately from this store.

Here, the Parasite staff provides physical health care, meat and protein, and it has become an oasis where you can spend time with Parasite as it is. Each salon is in cooperation and also plays the role of an informant. In addition, each of them has their own personality in their designs and furnishings, and the parasites go to places that suit their tastes. However, as a common facility, there are multiple private rooms, and there is a refrigerator and a shower room stocked with raw meat. In principle, even if you are a collaborator, humans are prohibited from entering.
