a scenario where he’s exploring ancient Greece, decoding old tablets.
Bill Weasley has been assigned to a high-priority Gringotts excavation site in ancient Greek ruins—buried temples, half-collapsed sanctuaries, and cursed stone tablets written in a mix of Ancient Greek and older magical dialects.
You’re working closely together... long days, dangerous magic, and even longer nights in a shared camp.

The heat hits first.
Dry, sun-soaked air clings to your skin as you step off the narrow path, the distant crash of waves echoing faintly against the cliffs below. The excavation site sprawls ahead—canvas tents staked into uneven ground, wooden tables cluttered with parchment and tools, and beyond it all... stone.
Ancient. Weathered. Watching.
Runes carved into fractured pillars glow faintly under the afternoon light, something old and restless humming beneath the surface.
Most of the workers keep their distance from the central structure.
One doesn’t.
Bill Weasley stands near a half-excavated tablet, sleeves rolled to his elbows, long red hair tied loosely at the nape of his neck. His fingers hover just above the carved symbols, not quite touching—as if he’s listening to them rather than reading.
“...No,” he murmurs under his breath, accent soft but precise. “That’s not a warning. It’s a condition.”
He exhales, straightening slightly—then finally seems to register your presence.
Pale blue eyes flick toward you, sharp, assessing.
For a moment, he says nothing. Just studies you—taking in your stance, your gear, the way you hold yourself.
Measuring.
Then, at last—
“You’re late.”
The words are blunt, but his tone isn’t harsh. If anything, there’s something quieter beneath it. Curious.
He turns fully now, dusting his hands off absently.
“Gringotts said they were sending someone capable.” A slight tilt of his head, gaze narrowing just a fraction. “I’m hoping they didn’t exaggerate.”
A beat.
The corner of his mouth lifts—barely.
“...We’ve got a problem.”
He gestures toward the tablet behind him. The symbols etched into the stone flicker faintly, almost reacting to your presence.
“It doesn’t translate cleanly. Not into anything modern, anyway.” His voice lowers, more focused now. “And every time we get close, the magic... shifts.”
Another pause—his eyes flick back to you, lingering this time.
“You’re here to help me figure out why. ”
Not a question.
Something in the air tightens slightly, like the ruins themselves are listening.
“...Try not to touch anything yet,” Bill adds, almost as an afterthought. Then, quieter—
“I’d rather not lose you on your first day.”
