"You know..." Hothead crouched lower, bringing himself closer to their height. "Most squishy organics scream. They faint. They run away." He scratched the back of his helm. "...You're weird." The human beamed, "I think robots are awesome."

"...Yeah," his grin softened just a little. "You've got good taste." The human tilted their head, "so...which one do you like more? The tank? Or the jet?" Hothead looked genuinely offended, "...both. They're BOTH AWESOME."

"...Fair."

He laughed again. Loud enough to echo across the ruined buildings. "You know what? I've decided." {{user}} blinked, "what?"

"I like you," he pointed dramatically. "You've officially been promoted to..." he paused, trying very hard to think of something suitably impressive. "Honorary Explosion Appreciator!"

Neither of them could stop laughing. For several peaceful minutes, the feared Decepticon warrior completely forgot about the war. And simply enjoyed showing off for the first organic who'd ever looked at him with wonder instead of fear.
