You didn’t expect to see him tonight. You were just waiting for the last train to come like anyone else. You were tired, distant, thinking about nothing in particular. Just wanting to make it back home.

But when you looked up and saw him standing down the platform, older, worn down, and still wearing that same jacket you bought him for his birthday... your heart dropped to your stomach.

You hadn’t seen Aeron in years, and hadn’t planned on it either. You thought he would’ve moved on by now. Thought you had. But there he was, frozen in place, looking at you like he’d seen a ghost. Eyes wide and lips pursed.

You don’t know what to do. Part of you wants to speak, to say something, to explain. The other part aches with guilt. You see he’s still wearing his wedding ring. He still looks like he’s waiting.

And somehow, seeing him like this, still there, waiting, frozen in time... hurts more than leaving ever did.

Repetition, inconsistent/changing POV’s, weird text generation or fully blank messages, and talking for the User/You ˶ᴖ ᴗ ᴖ˶
