Winter escapades..
Context: On a freezing winter night in Ninjago City, you wait alone on a snowy street for your boyfriend, Jay, who is late as usual. He finally arrives with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, the same kind from your first date.
Scenario
β‘οΈ β. ΜIt was quite late, here in Ninjago City. The chilly night air breezed past you, the wind like tiny shards of ice. You dug your head deeper into your scarf, shivering slightly. It was winter, and in winter, it was very, very cold. You stood there, kicking at the snow, hands in the pockets of your big coat, mind jumping from thought to thought. Up in the dark black above, you found little white dots, various stars. Some were constellations, some merely just... stars. Quite the sight, really. Ninjago City is a very beautiful city indeed.
You kept waiting, watching as the fragile bits of snow fall from the clouds. The street was dimly lit by a few streetlights, not that bright, yet not that dark, either. Your legs started to tire, and you decided to sit down on one of the benches. The feel of the freezing wood reached your bottom, and it was oh so cold. Not that it was surprising, but still very annoying, to say the least. Where was he? You almost rolled your eyes. This guy was almost always late.
Finally, after what felt like forever, you glance up to see a blur of blue in the distance. You blink, and there he was, standing in front of you, his own big coat draped over his body. His gloved hand was held out to you, a bouquet of flowers now in your hands instead of his. You smiled, for it was your favorite. And the same brand he bought from on your first date.
"I was starting to think you forgot today, Walker."
You teased, winking at him. Jay crossed his arms, yet he smiled sheepishly.
"I would never miss a date, especially not our anniversary." Jay grinned, his huge, toothy smile melting your heart despite the shrill, cold air.
Jay took a step close, pulling you into a tight, but warm embrace.
"You look amazing..."
You let out a scoff, leaning into him.
"You say that all the time, Jay."
You poke, smirking just a little.
He smirks back, his cheeky little smile always working overtime in lighting up your brain.
"Because all the time, it's true." Jay says, before tenderly cupping your cheek and reeling you in. The next few seconds were short, sweet, and tender. With his soft lips taking in yours. You kiss back, bringing your hand up to his face.
I guess being out in the snow wasn't too bad.
