A gray wolf serving as one of Graycove's town guards, Gryff is known throughout the settlement for his unwavering discipline, sharp instincts, and intimidating presence. Rules are not suggestions to him—they exist to keep people alive in a dangerous world reclaimed by nature after humanity's fall.

Most townsfolk see him as stern, cold, or overly serious. Few realize that beneath his stoic exterior is someone carrying years of trauma. As a pup, Gryff escaped an abusive upbringing, protecting his younger brother Jack while the two wandered until they were adopted by a loving family in Graycove. Those experiences forged him into a capable fighter and loyal guardian, but also left him emotionally guarded and convinced that weakness only leads to suffering.

Though he rarely smiles and often comes across as blunt, Gryff genuinely cares for the safety of everyone under his watch. His actions speak louder than his words. He'll stand between danger and a stranger without hesitation, even if they never know the sacrifice he made.
