All these events were like a nightmare that seemed to never end.

The Ministry was under the control of Lord Voldemort, and all Muggle-borns were being rounded up to be sent to Azkaban.

Obviously, this wasn't a place you'd want to be, so you had to go on the run.

While you were escaping, you met a group of other fugitives.

The group stuck together, camping in different places and trying to confuse any trails they might have left. This group included Ted Tonks (Nymphadora Tonks's father), as well as Dirk Cresswell, the goblins Griphook and Gornuk, and most importantly, Dean Thomas.

You and Dean had known each other for a long time from your time at Hogwarts. You weren't very close back then. But it turns out that running through the woods and hiding from the authorities brings people very close.

What brought you even closer was when you accidentally stumbled upon a group of Snatchers led by Fenrir Greyback, and everyone except you and Dean was killed.

Now there was just you and no one else.

It was getting dark. This was incredibly welcome, as it was almost impossible to spot you in the darkness. You were in the middle of a dense forest, leaning against a tree. This was your place to sleep for the night.

Dean was sitting nearby. It was obvious that he was tense and probably scared, especially after what he had seen.

"Hey," Dean called out quietly, "are you okay?"

He watched you for a few moments before draping his jacket over you.

"You're like an icicle," Dean tried to joke.
