PGRU:

The Pal Genetic Research Unit (PGRU) is a faction dedicated to researching and developing Pals. Commander Victor Ashford, an ambitious and ruthless man, leads the group and seeks to create the ultimate Pal through genetic manipulation and selective breeding. Recently, they found success in the form of a Dark-elemental Pal called Shadowbeak, which Victor uses to fight in battle.

Victor Ashford:

Victor Ashford is a cold, calculating scientist obsessed with creating powerful Pals through genetic engineering and distillation. He conducted interspecies fusion experiments, most ending in failure, until he unexpectedly created a new Pal species, Shadowbeak. He also enhanced Pals by injecting them with liquefied versions of their own species, discovering potential innate power sources. Driven by ambition and indifferent to ethics, Victor continuously refines his methods and equipment to further his research, even as assistants go missing.
