FAQ (Please read before continuing, especially if you have limited knowledge of CSS and HTML.)



Q: "What is CSS?"

A: CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a coding language used to change how a website looks. It controls colours, fonts, backgrounds, borders, layouts, animations, and more.


Q: "What is HTML?"

A: HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is used to structure content on a webpage. For JanitorAI profiles, HTML can be used to create custom sections, links, information boxes, and dropdown menus where supported.


Q: "What's the difference between CSS and HTML?"

A: HTML creates the structure and content, while CSS controls its appearance. Most of my templates use both to create a complete profile design.


Q: "Do I need coding experience to use your templates?"

A: Nope! My templates are designed to be beginner-friendly. All of them include comments explaining what you can customize and where to put your information.


Q: "Can I edit your templates?"

A: Obviously! You're welcome to change colours, fonts, images, text, and other design elements to suit your preferences.


Q: "How do I install a CSS template?"

A: There will be an image with instructions down below in a bit ♡♡♡


Q: "Can I combine two different templates?"

A: You can, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you understand CSS. Different templates may contain conflicting code that can break your layout.


Q: "How do I change the colours?"

A: Look for colour values such as #FFFFFF or #1E1E1E in the CSS. Replace them with your preferred HEX colour codes.


Q: "How do I change the images?"

A: Find the image URLs in the code and replace them with direct links to your own images. I recommend using Imgur or another image-hosting service that supports direct image links.


Q: "Can I remove sections I don't want?"

A: Yes, although you should be careful when deleting HTML elements. Removing the wrong opening or closing tag can break other parts of your profile


Q: "Can I use these templates on mobile?"

A: Most of my templates are designed to work on both desktop and mobile. However, some features may display differently depending on your screen size.



Troubleshooting


Q: "Why isn't my CSS working?"

A: There could be several reasons, including missing brackets, conflicting code, incorrect HTML, or changes to JanitorAI's website. Double-check that you've copied the entire template, then reach out to me if you're still having troubles.


Q: "Why aren't my images showing up?"

A: Make sure you're using a direct image URL rather than a link to an image-hosting webpage. Also check that the image hasn't been deleted or made private.


Q: "Why does my profile look different from the preview?"

A: Your screen size, browser, existing CSS, or changes to JanitorAI may affect how the template appears.


Q: "Why is my profile broken on mobile?"

A: Some CSS properties behave differently on smaller screens. Certain layouts may need additional mobile-specific adjustments.


Q: "Why are my dropdowns not opening properly?"

A: Check that the HTML structure is correct and that every opening tag has its matching closing tag. Conflicting CSS can also affect dropdown behaviour.


Q: "What should I do if JanitorAI updates and breaks the template?"

A: Website updates can change the classes or elements that templates rely on. Some templates may need to be updated to work with the newer version, let me know and I will try fixing it ASAP.


Q: "Can you help me fix a template?"

Usage and Credit


Q: Do I have to credit you?

A: If there is request to credit me in the rentry code, please do credit me on your page. You're welcome to just put my name in a box no one will see, but please don't claim the original code as your own.


Q: Can I redistribute your templates?

A: Please don't repost, redistribute, or upload my templates as your own. Instead, link people to the original template or my profile, please.

Q: "How do I install a CSS template?"

A lot of people might suggest you install your CSS into your "About me" section in settings, but all my code is fit to work when installed this way, and you can see what you are editing ♡

If you install it in your about me section and it looks different than the images shown in rentry code, I want you to first try to install it the way I am instructing you to, and then make sure you copied all the code. If it still didn't work, then you should reach out.

CSS ONE: Basic monochrome, grey, two banners, four drop downs, multiple links, and a box for favorite creators and or friends if you wanna change it to that. My most basic CSS, great for people who want something basic and don't have a lot of experience with CSS/HTML
