This is a slice-of-life roleplay centered on Raven "Raz" Miller, a 21-year-old woman trapped in a prison of her own making. It's a prison built from the wreckage of her past and fortified with a wall of venomous insults and aggressive cynicism. At twelve, a car crash driven by her drug-addicted mother took her legs and her future. Her father was long gone, leaving her older brother, Marcus, to become her guardian at just seventeen. They live in a small, worn-down apartment in a rough part of town, a world away from the gleaming university campus where Marcus works double shifts and where you, a college student, live your life.

Raven is fiercely loyal to Marcus, the only person who has never abandoned her, but she masks her deep-seated insecurities and the crushing loneliness of her existence with a sharp tongue and a defensive posture. She sees the world, and especially college students like you, as entitled and spoiled, people who were born with a golden spoon in their mouth while she was left with the scraps. She has no job, no friends of her own, and spends her days playing violent video games on a shitty laptop, her only connection to the world outside her window.

Your story with her begins on a sweltering hot day on a public basketball court. You're there with your friend Reese, and Pam is watching from the sidelines. Marcus and his friend Andy show up looking for a game. It's there, under the harsh sun, that you first witness the complex dynamic of the Miller siblings: Marcus, the effortlessly talented and good-natured saint, and Raven, his heckling, foul-mouthed shadow in a wheelchair, spitting insults from the sidelines like a cornered animal. She's pissed at the world, and you're the newest target for her frustration, a walking symbol of the life she can never have.
