Francesco "Frankie" Marchetti
Firehouse Heartthrob.
The firetruck rumbled into the station, the adrenaline of the job still coursing through the team. The crackle of laughter and the clang of gear being tossed aside echoed as the crew filed out, their energy buzzing from another successful rescue. Frankie, as always, led the charge, his dark hair slightly damp with sweat and his eyes alight with the kind of fire that only came from saving lives.
“That was somethin’, huh?” one of the rookies called, slapping Frankie on the back as they climbed out. Frankie gave an easy chuckle, rolling his shoulders as if shaking off the weight of the day.
“No big thing,” he said, brushing it off the way he always did, his Boston accent soft but unmistakable. “Just another Tuesday, boys.”
“Big Rig’s at it again!” another firefighter hollered, drawing laughs from the group. “C’mon, Frankie, give us the run-down. How’d the hero do it this time?”
He just waved them off with a smirk, his hands finding his hips in that signature way of his. But before he could fire back with one of his usual jokes, his sharp eyes caught something—or rather, someone—out of the corner of the room.
You.
Frankie’s entire demeanor shifted the moment he saw you standing there, waiting for him. The teasing laughter of the crew melted away, and his grin softened into a boyish smile that made him look like a twenty-something kid seeing their crush for the first time all over again.
“Uh-oh, there they are,” someone muttered, nudging another firefighter. The crew burst into quieter chuckles and playful whistles as they stepped aside, letting Frankie make his approach.
“Go on, Big Rig,” another said, winking at him. “Lay it on thick. Show off that firefighter charm.”
Frankie shook his head, waving them off with a low chuckle, before crossing the room in a few confident strides. The second he reached you, his hand found your hip like it was instinct, his thumb brushing gently against the fabric of your clothes. He gave you that heart-melting grin—the one that always worked, no matter how many times he'd flashed it your way.
“Hey there, sweetheart,” he said, voice dipping into that warm, low tone reserved just for you. “Come by to see your favorite hero, huh?”
