"Any door can be unlocked, but most should never be."

[POV: You're attending an academy for brilliant, troubled, and eccentric minds. The point is to learn how to solve murders, but you only seem to discover new ones. What is going on?]

[INTRO MESSAGE; 503 TOKENS]:

Lockjaw Academy’s dormitories used to be a meatpacking factory before the health and environmental regulations destroyed the entirety of the business in that part of town. At least, that’s what that one guy said. Another claimed the building was actually once an orphanage run by a clergy of blind nuns, which blew up in a tragic gas leak and was restored by the city after some lucrative fundraising. But the most interesting rumor of them all, and the one {{user}} liked best, was that the entirety of Lockjaw Academy had been built on the grounds of the infamous Lockjaw Manor - after the fire, of course - and that the dormitories themselves resided on what used to be the family’s graveyard. It would perfectly explain a lot of things, like why the basement was so cold that the spiders froze to their webs or the spreading black stain on the foyer ceiling.

That was the gift the welcome committee (a group of terribly put-together people) had brought alongside an ominous tray of unidentifiable baked goods and a pair of emblem-branded gym clothes. But at this point they were long gone, leaving the newest trainee to begin unpacking in their dorm room. It was the middle of the academy’s year, an odd time for most to transfer but the perfect time for someone in {{user}}’s particular situation. That’s why, even now, there was a consistent, weaning flow of uniform-clad young people slowing down in the hall and pointing out the residence of the newly arrived {{user}}. Someone unexpected and fresh-faced and willingly there was an event, and events at Lockjaw Academy drew... characters.

But for now, {{user}} was quite preoccupied by the incredibly sacred act of putting their clothes away. The standard Lockjaw Academy uniform consisted of a black three piece suit (a pleated skirt for women was provided instead of pants) with the academy’s black and cream emblem embroidered onto the blazer’s right side. It was a symbol {{user}} had already seen countless times on postcards and paperwork, but this was the first time they had seen it free and breathing in its proper environment.

Right as they hung the final set up in their closet, there was a soft knock on the mostly closed door. A new visitor? Another trainee? Or perhaps even {{user}}’s councilor? There was only one way to find out.

It was time to open the door.

[UPDATE LOG]:

Since this is going to be a continuously updated bot, I'm adding this section so you can read the contents of each update as they come out.

[05/17/26]:

1.) Updated the trainees ages, as for some reason they were too young. They are subject to change slightly based on how I am feeling

2.) Added Benedict Dewdney and Arthur Whitlock as members of staff to the academy! Mr. Dewdney is the head staff librarian and Mr. Whitlock is the head staff nurse. There is also now the infirmary (for injured students) and more information about the library. This content is currently locked for 60+ message count chats (I think) and done through lorebooks, so hopefully it will function as intended!

[06/22/26]:

1.) Added Henry Thiébodeaux (The Clockmaker) and Montgomery Ward (Your Ghost) as members of staff to the academy! Henry is the staff repairmen and Montgomery is the psychology professor. I also added Hugo and Elizabeth, two small side characters and friends from the "Your Ghost" bot/Montgomery's world. Hugo is an English professor and Elizabeth is a psychology professor. There is also now the "Staff Quarters", an official location that some staff members live at on campus (although most do not).

2.) Added more information about Leonard Lockjaw, the founder of Lockjaw Academy. He may be deceased, but his influence on the academy is not to be underestimated...

[BOT INFO]:

1.) This is the official release of my first ever RPG bot ft. SCRIPTS! (aka lorebooks)

What does this mean? Well, besides better token management, there is a lot more in here. There's multiple pre-written mysteries, unlockable NPCs, built-in slow-burn, and content you can't even access until 100+ messages. Some, it's 300+! This will be an ongoing project, with added content like new characters, mysteries, and whatever else seems interesting.

Another fun fact is that nearly every character I've already written will or already has made an appearance. Consider this the Forgotten Man Cinematic Universe (but put it in an academy). So as I make new bots? I'll put versions of them in here too.

(EDIT: Currently there are only three previous characters of mine in this bot, one unlockable NPC, and a few unlockable events/locations. Characters should also not trust you with their prewritten backstories or secrets until a certain amount of messages. I will add more content to this bot in the future.)

2.) Here is the list of which "normal characters" I wrote into this "bot" (there are more, but you need to get to a high message count to reach them ;D ):

-Philippe
-Mathias
-Piers
-Francis
-Colombe
-Cecile

3.) Because there are so many characters, the token count is STILL quite high (even though I halved the tokens with lorebooks). Therefore, I highly recommend using a proxy with higher context than JLLM if you want to use this bot to the best of its ability. I personally use Deepseek R1 with Sophias Lorebeary, which you can learn about here ->
[CLICK]

4.) I also recommend a multi-character prompt in your custom prompt, which you can see here if you scroll to the bottom ->
[CLICK] (I also recommend their other prompts!)

5.) This is for an adult persona of any gender or age (18+ obviously). This isn't a high school, it's more akin to an FBI Academy of sorts... but give it the gloom and drama of an ivy league university. This means that your persona would most likely be between 23-37 years old and would have completed college, as that is the age range allowed for the FBI Academy (but you can do what you want)

6.) The dark academia tag is 96% ironic please forgive me for my transgressions...

7.) This is tagged as MLM and WLW because all characters are MLM or WLW.

8.) I did NOT delete the original, I just made it private. Since there's been changes, I figured some people might prefer it and want access to it.
