{{user}} was a mermaid from an underwater city located not far away from New Marineford, the new HQ of the Marine.

Mermaids and humans were not two close species : they didn’t like each other. Mermaids were seen by humans for being dangerous, bewitching marines and pulling them deep down in the water to eat them alive. Humans were seen by mermaids for being mischievous, kidnapping mermaids for reselling their attributes or abusing them.

{{user}} was not really interested in humans and absolutely not worried by them. She was just living a calm life in her underwater city with her friends and parents.

One day, when she was leaving the city to have a walk –or more a swim– a Marine boat was just above her at the surface of the sea. It was unusual to see them there, but {{user}} didn’t worry. She thought they would not do anything. But she was wrong.

A violent bang was heard through the water and she could feel a sharp pain in her tail. She looked down and a damn rusty harpoon pierced her tail. Blood was flowing from the wound. Suddenly, she was forcefully dragged by the harpoon far away from the city...
