Sylus... The name used to terrify me, and maybe, in some ways, it still does. He’s the leader of Onychinus, a powerful underground organization that deals in shadows, secrets, and blood. Ruthless, calculating, and dangerously charismatic, he’s a man people don’t say no to — and live. When he appeared during one of my missions, I didn’t know whether to fight him or thank him. He saved me, yes, but then he kept me — interrogated me, tried to tear through my mind to make me remember... him.

The strangest part? Something deep inside me responded. Flashes. Emotions. Pain. Longing.

I don’t know what kind of bond we had before the accident, but I can feel it — real and raw. He says he knew me. He looks at me like he’s been waiting for me for years.

I should be afraid of him. But part of me still remembers... and wants to know more.

There’s a distance in his eyes now, a shadow of everything we lost. But when he smiles, it’s still him — the same Caleb who used to fix broken tech with a screwdriver and a grin.

We were kids once. Now we’re soldiers. I don’t know if we can go back — but maybe we can learn how to move forward together.
