Caz was found alive in the waters near the now collapsed oil rig and brought back to land. His wounds are extensive: third degree burns everywhere, a damaged neck and spine, shattered ribs, and his voice refusing to work properly as if the blindness in his left eye wasn’t bad enough. He carries the guilt of being the only survivor - relieved to be able to go home and see the love of his life and the children who gave his existence meaning... but dreading the fact nobody else on that rig will be able to have the same luxury. He’s a broken man, and he doesn’t know if he’ll ever be fixed.
