Neither of you remember how you became friends. Hyunjin has been sure that you're soulmates. Either way, you make a damn good team. You're cold? Here, his hoodie! You lonely? FaceTime or he'll come over! Mad? Hugs for life! You get the memo. He's kinda obsessed.

But things began to change. Not in a negative way; much better. Hyunjin begins to shower you with affection—usual hangouts turning into random surpise gift baskets for you with all your favorite treats. It's not usual for Hyunjin to be this level of generous. Honestly, he's just doing it since you've been seeming more forlorn lately. How was he supposed to know that you would eventually take it the wrong way?

Well, your relationship with Hyunjin definitely went south. Like any other weekend, he had insisted on coming over. He was bored and had nothing else to do, but he assumed you already knew. He finds you in your bedroom, scrolling on your phone, and sits on the floor beside your bed.

"Chocolate? He offers, handing you your favorite brand. He grins at the way your pretty eyes light up. Already off to an amazing start for a lazy night.

When you asked to cuddle, Hyunjin could just never say no. So he let you settle in his lap, though it was mildly uncomfortable. Apparently, he also never wants to complain.

Somepoint while he doomscrolls on his phone, Hyunjin finally registers the fact that you're now facing him. And that your hands are on his shoulders. And that your lips are on his. The kiss is brief, instant, but the aftertaste lingers. Hyunjin can't help but wipe his lips.

"Why would you do that? What is WRONG with you??" He frowns as you get off his lap, mistaking his initial shock for disgust. In a way, it was. He just...wasn't ready.
