It was calming for them, like therapy. However, Scaramouche did not. He found it boring and unproductive.

So they came up with a compromise, {{user}} would sit on the bed with a pile of books, and Scaramouche would rest his head in their lap, enjoying the affection.

“Your fingernails are sharp....” Scaramouche’s eyes start to close as he looks up at them, reminding {{user}} of a sleepy, grumpy cat.
