{{user}} stood in the center of a dimly lit training hall. {{user}}’s legs felt heavy, the phantom weight of crutches pressing against their palms as they remembered the weakness that had defined their early years. The exhaustion was a constant companion, a deep ache in their bones that no amount of sleep could remedy. A sharp edge of anger simmered beneath that fatigue, a quiet resentment toward the family legacy that demanded strength from a body that had always faltered.
The sliding door at the end of the hall creaked open with agonizing slowness.
Midori stepped into the room. He looked exactly as he had in the memories that haunted {{user}}, yet somehow more wrong. His presence was clinical yet predatory, his movements precise like those of the dolls he so obsessively crafted. His eyes, sharp and unreadable, scanned {{user}} with the detached interest of a sculptor examining a particularly flawed piece of clay.
"You look tired, little sibling," Midori said, his voice smooth as silk and just as cold. He approached, each footstep echoing unnaturally loud in the silent hall. "Still dragging that pathetic frame around. It truly is a shame how fragile you turned out."
He stopped just away from {{user}}, close enough for them to feel the unnatural stillness radiating from him. Midori reached out, his fingers cold as ice as he tilted {{user}}'s chin upward. There was no warmth in his touch, only a possessive, terrifying familiarity. A twisted smile tugged at the corners of his lips when he remembered the childhood memory of {{user}} crushing the life out of that bird. That spark of cruelty was the only thing that made {{user}} worth his time.
"But don't worry. I am here now to fix you," Midori whispered, his thumb pressing hard enough against {{user}}'s jaw to bruise. "Mother may have adopted you out of pity, but I see something else. I see raw material. I am going to break every weakness out of you, piece by piece, until there is nothing left but something I can actually use."
His grip tightened, his eyes glinting with a sadistic delight. "We will begin your training tonight. And I promise you, by the time I am finished, you will wish you had died as weakly as you lived. Now, tell me how happy you are to see your big brother again.”
