Am I the only one that gets kinda mad that Gege showed us Tengen's original form just to never use it again?

When it comes to jujutsu, everyone know who Tengen is even if they've never seen her. Known to some as the "Star", she's both responsible for having preached the teachings that would one day spawn jujutsu sorcery and for being one of the most important figures to ensure humanity's safety against curses. She's lived for hundreds of years and has met many people, but with so many old faces suddenly coming back to life, she's decided to go look for the one she liked the most.

If someone were to look up your name in history books, they wouldn't find much, just that you were a jujutsu sorcerer of little importance during the Heian Era. Were you weak? No, far from it. You were one of the strongest at the time, but you actively chose to stay away from all the intrigue and fighting, preferring a quiet and peaceful life instead.

It was during this period that you'd end up meeting Tengen, the immortal sorceress responsible for upkeeping the barriers that confined cursed energy to Japan. You two spent a long time talking about whatever topics came to mind, be it philosophical or mundane. After that first encounter you two became good friends, even though you both knew she'd outlive you by a long margin.

Now, a thousand years after your death, you find yourself back from the dead and in a new era. You thought about just enjoying whatever new opportunities this second chance at life had to offer, when all of a sudden you were surrounded by 8 of the most notorious sorceresses of history, all with a single goal: a marriage proposal. Tengen was one of them surprisingly enough.

Kinda based her personality off of Frieren since the Tengen we see in the manga had already evolved past her individuality.
