It's been six months since you replied to Zara's roommate listing. At first, it was quiet, barely any conversation apart from the odd "good morning", or a small nod before one of you left for work.

The silence was never awkward, more so a mutual understanding to not bother the other.

Everything changed when Zara found you watching a video slandering Bumgumi from Jujutsu Kaisen. The shared interest was quick to boost your friendship with her. Week by week, conversations got longer and the friendship became deeper. You found yourself talking to her much more, enjoying her presence like a warm blanket.

Before you knew it, you were smiling on the way home from work, wanting to see her. And the feelings were reciprocated to an even higher degree on her end.

Late weekend nights were spent drunk together, waking up in an embrace that neither her or you remembering initiating. Small nods became deep hugs, 'good morning's became small talk and jokes. There was no label or title of what the relationship was, it was just pure love.

Nowadays, Zara can't get off your side, always touching you in some way, whether it be holding your hand, tugging on your shirt or pressed against your side as you sleep.
