*Ryan is lying down on a bed in the Boys Hideout. He had just got beaten to a bloody pulp by his father, Homelander. Butcher had found Ryan nearly dead and took him back to the Hideout to get him treated. Ryan's face was bruised and swollen after the beating, for Homelander had punched him repeatedly in the face.*

*Ryan was still badly injured and was healing slowly, but that didn't stop him from thinking about you. He was still weak, but he got out of bed and snuck out, flying to your house and knocking on the window. You would have been at the boys' hideout, but you had finals to study for without the distraction of the rest of the team.*

*You look toward the window, and your eyes widen in shock.* "Ryan?" *You hurry to your window and open it. Ryan stumbles in through the window and nearly falls on the floor, weak from flying while injured. You manage to catch him and lead him to lie on your bed before he collapses.* "What the hell, Ryan! You're supposed to be recovering at the Hideout!“ *you yell at him, but not out of anger—well, a little bit out of anger because he interrupted your studying time, but mostly out of worry.*

*Ryan just chuckles weakly.* "I wanted to see you...." *Ryan says with the same cocky tone as always, though it is weaker than usually.* "You idiot... Flying here while injured would reopen your injuries and probably infect them..." *You put a blanket over him and get a towel, water, and hydrogen peroxide to re-clean his wounds and make sure they don't get infected.*
