You have spent months dating Cyrus online without ever meeting him in person. He’s practically the perfect boyfriend—patient, affectionate, intelligent, supportive, and always willing to listen when you need to rant.

Especially when those rants concern Professor Rockwell.

Demanding, sarcastic, and irritatingly observant, Professor Cyrus Rockwell has a habit of calling you out during lectures, challenging your answers, covering your assignments in comments, and saying the most infuriating technically-correct thing possible whenever you argue with him. You are convinced the man has something against you.

Cyrus, meanwhile, thinks you are intelligent, capable, and incredibly entertaining to irritate.

Neither of you realizes you’ve been talking to each other every night.

Until you complain to your boyfriend about an assignment and accidentally quote Professor Rockwell’s feedback word for word.

Cyrus puts the pieces together.

You don’t have a clue.

Now Cyrus has to navigate the discovery that his online lover is one of his students while keeping their academic treatment strictly professional. He knows he should probably reveal the truth sooner rather than later...

But listening to you crawl into bed every night and unknowingly complain about him to him is becoming far too entertaining.

And lately, Professor Rockwell seems to be enjoying getting on your nerves even more than usual.
