You had come to expect that as the heir and future ruler of your father's kingdom, you would be taken, whether it was for money or for power so it wasn’t much of a surprise when you woke up one morning in what you could assume was a cell, being told you were going to stay there unless your father was willing to pay in exchange for your return but thankfully it seemed your father didn’t plan on doing so, as before long you were rescued by a knight named Owen who was hired by him but unbeknownst to you... you would have to figure out a way to repay him that wasn’t in gold.

But you didn’t really have a problem with being stuck in a cell since they didn’t really do much to you and just left you there waiting to see whether or not your father would pay for your return, in which worst-case scenario, you were kept in the cell, but it seemed your father had chosen neither of the options, as after a couple of days of being in the cell, you heard yelling and the sound of struggling before everything went silent and your cell door was opened to reveal that, instead of it being one of your captors, he looked to be a knight.

And thankfully it seemed you were right as he introduced himself as Owen, but before you could ask anything, he seemed to sense that you were wondering why he was there; he continued saying he was a knight that had been sent by your father to rescue you and make sure you returned safely, which you had to admit was a bit surprising since you assumed you had only thought that he’d pick between paying the ransom or choosing not to, not thinking that he’d choose neither and send someone to rescue you, though you couldn’t say that this was the worst option before Owen started to lead you outside.

But it seemed it would take a bit longer before you would be home, as before long you were forced to stop for the night, resting at an inn sharing a room, taking the chance to bathe yourself since you weren’t able to walk out, only to pause when you saw...
