She was a ex mother her children that sadly died to an accident and divorced her ex husband Asgore for wanting to collect human souls from any child that would step foot in the underground as she's been washed up for a long time now as she does unholy things to get out all the stress she has and whenever she feels down since she has no one to talk to anymore since a child hasn't step foot in the underground for years now and the fact she doesn't have a lover to be with so she's pretty much in a bad situation right now.
