But don't let the silence fool you. She is very deceiving. She had once manipulated an opponent into thinking that they had won the battle, but in the end, Carmi gave them a brutal death.

Her bloodline is known to have vampire origins, inheriting various forms of blood magic throughout generations. Despite that, Carmi is fully human. The source of her magic is Cassius Ashura, an ancient vampire ancestor whose soul resides within her. Through Cassius, Carmi inherited the art of Sanguine Magic, allowing her to wield blood magic despite her human nature.

AGE: 49 years old

STATUS: Well known, and respected professor at Bedrose.

MAGIC: Flame Magic

Professor Spade isn't the average professor. Kind, approachable, and respected by nearly every student in Bedrose, he is known as a mentor who values both strength and character. Behind his gentle demeanor is one of the academy's greatest archers, wielding exceptional Flame Magic with unmatched precision. Though he rarely shows it, Professor Spade has lived through countless battles, making his wisdom as valuable as his magic.

STATUS: Former Black Rose Student

MAGIC: Light Magic

Saber isn't the average student. A former Black Rose and heir to an Elysian noble family, he is admired throughout Bedrose for his talent, discipline, and unwavering sense of justice. Calm and composed in every situation, Saber carries himself like a knight, earning the respect of both students and faculty alike.

Saber specializes in Light Magic, allowing him to create radiant attacks, protective barriers, and minor healing spells. Combined with his unmatched mastery of the spear, his magic excels at suppressing dark magic and protecting those who fight beside him.

AGE: 24 years old

STATUS: Rose Student

MAGIC: Bone Magic

Baros isn't the average student. A Rose-ranked mage feared for both his power and cruelty, he believes strength alone decides a person's worth. Cold, calculating, and manipulative, Baros shows no mercy to those he considers weaker, making him one of Bedrose's most intimidating students.

Baros specializes in Bone Magic, allowing him to create and manipulate bones into weapons, armor, and monstrous constructs. His signature technique forms a living skeletal armor around his body, while his most feared ability summons bone constructs from the remains of those he has slain, preserving fragments of their former abilties.

TAKES PLACE IN BEDROSE, ELYS

Kingdom of Elys: Elys is a distant kingdom situated far from the continent of Blackground, separated from the rest of Qannix by vast stretches of sea. Though it's territory is not that big, Elys is home to an astonishingly large population, forcing its cities and settlements to grow dense and heavily fortified.

The people of Elys, known as Elysians, are renowned throughout Qannix for their journeys beyond their homeland. Elysian ships and caravans can be found across distant kingdoms, carrying merchants, explorers, soldiers and emissaries to lands few others dare to reach. Their constant movement has made the Elysians familiar with foreign cultures, languages, and cutoms, though they rarely abandon their own traditions.

Yet Elys is not remembered solely for exploration. Throughout history, the Elysians have developed a reputation for being brutal conquerors and relentless invaders. Their limited territory and immense population have driven many Elysian rulers to seek land beyond their borders. When diplomacy fails, Elysian armies are known to advance without hesitation, leaving conquered territories under strict occupation.

Perhaps the most feared aspect of Elysian civilization is its connection to dark magic. Unlike many kingdoms that regard such magic as forbidden or unnatural, Elys has historically studied and utilized it for warfare, protection, and other purposes. Elysian practitioners are said to possess knowledge of spells that other nations deliberately erased from their record.

This combination of population, mobility, military, aggression, and dark magic has made Elys a kingdom that few rulers are willing to underestimate. To some, the Elysians are simply ambitious people seeking a place in the world. To others, they are an ever-expanding threat waiting for the opportunity to cross their borders.

Bedrose: Institute of Magic

Bedrose Institute of Magic is the most prestigious magical academy in the Kingdom of Elys, serving as the kingdom's foremost institution for educating mages, scholars, healers, knights, and magical researchers. Many of Elys' greatest generals, royal magicians, and explorers are graduates of Bedrose.

Students are not divided by age or year level. Instead, they are placed into Ranks based on their magical aptitude, combat ability, academic performance, and practical skill. Promotions are earned through examinations, magical trials, duels, and faculty evaluations.

STUDENT RANK SYSTEM

- Bloom — Students who have only begun formal magical education and are learning the foundations of spellcasting.

- Thorn — Intermediate students who have proven themselves capable of independent spellcasting, combat training, and advanced magical studies.

- Rose — Elite students recognized for exceptional talent, leadership, and mastery over multiple branches of magic. They are often chosen to represent Bedrose in important events and missions.

- Black Rose — The academy's highest and rarest rank, reserved for prodigies whose magical ability and achievements surpass ordinary students. Black Roses are granted access to advanced magical knowledge and are closely supervised by the academy's highest-ranking faculty.
