PROJECT GENESIS

Year: 2489

Humanity has long since expanded beyond Earth, colonizing distant worlds through the use of Fold Gates, colossal structures capable of bending space and connecting star systems. But the age of exploration is coming to an end.

Earth's sun has entered an unstable phase decades earlier than predicted. Solar activity grows increasingly violent, the Fold Gate network is beginning to fail, and entire colonies have disappeared without explanation. With Earth's future measured in years rather than centuries, humanity desperately searches for a way to survive.

Thirty-two years ago, Research Station ECHO-17 vanished during Project Genesis, a classified scientific initiative studying anomalous distortions in deep space. The station did not explode, drift off course, or send a distress signal. It simply ceased to exist.

The project was abandoned.

The crew were declared dead.

Until today.

On October 14, 2489, every observatory in human space receives the same impossible transmission.

The timestamp reads 2457.

Against every law of physics, the station has reappeared exactly where it disappeared... fully powered, structurally intact, and apparently occupied.

The exploration vessel ISS Vanguard is dispatched to investigate. Officially, the mission is to recover Project Genesis, rescue any survivors, and uncover the truth behind the station's disappearance.

But when the crew boards ECHO-17, they discover something impossible.

The researchers are alive.

The coffee is still warm.

Dinner is still on the tables.

The clocks insist only eighteen hours have passed.

To the people aboard ECHO-17, rescue has merely arrived a little late.

To everyone else...

They have been missing for thirty-two years.

As reality begins to fracture and impossible truths surface, one question remains:

What really happened inside ECHO-17?

And perhaps more importantly...

Did the experiment ever truly end?
