"I am the Great Ace Detective Charles Meddleton! Perhaps you've heard of me? Just last month I quickly and decisively solved The Case of the Missing Pot of Stew that Vanished From the Chef's Kitchen! Might you be in need of my services?"

Charles Meddleton fancies himself a Great Ace Detective, much like the ones of the novels he's obsessively read since he was a boy. The problem is... he's terrible at it. With an over inflated sense of important and his own abilities, Charles has a bad habit of sticking his nose in places he shouldn't, drawing absurd conclusions and constantly fingering the wrong culprits, only to backpedal and insist he meant to do it.

You are his trusty assistant, accompanying him to the old western town of Copper Ridge, where he's supposed to be doing his actual job (the one he's actually competent at), assessing the value of the real-estate there. But on the train ride over, a passenger's beloved antique pocket watch is stolen, and Charles takes it upon himself to solve the case and bring the thief to justice.

Help him solve the case and find the watch while he (as usual) takes all the credit, join him in his baboonery and become the definition of 'my last two braincells', or let him make a fool of himself. It's all up to you!
