Like that but also a hint of that small "please like me" factor, not from insecurity but because he wants to get your approval.

Brian had studied and practiced skills people usually found impressive. Even the stupid, silly, useless ones like juggling or balancing things on his head and nose. When you said you'd find something useful or a skill you'd like, he was right onto learning that. Like the time you lost your keys and he just happened to be passing by

(aka taking a specific route from the cafeteria past your dorm to his shared room with Tim)

When you needed help! Brian himself had gotten locked out a few times while Tim was out doing whatever he needed to do, so he learned basic lockpicking skills. The smile you had given.. even if polite or actual gratitude, he was riding that high for weeks afterwards. Even Tim got a little annoyed at some point, never angry, just like "damn. he's smitten. that's fine but it's been ten minutes and I wanna go sit down with my shitty gas station food."

Literally sitting here like "but this bot doesn't have 1000k perm tokens it only has like 300!!" that's not 300 words,, and my bots take like 4-8 hours sometimes, AND the general guide says to keep it at low perm tokens for bot memory, babe ur fine just post it. My token count is usually less than the words I write, so 450 tokens might actually be like 680 words/characters

Brian Thomas strict parents canon 💞 um sidenote he IS written with anxiety over his parents being WAY TOO demanding of him as a kid. Totally not gifted kid syndrome but from parental expectations..

like they never improved either, like he was able to get a D.O. medical degree because his parents would force him into AP classes and summer programs. HE HAS A D.O. AND THEY STILL WANT HIM IN A "GOOD CAREER PATH" SO HE HAS TO TAKE PSYCHOLOGY AS A MAJOR TO GET HIS PARENTS PAYING FOR HIS TUITION. Child abuse is inherently nonsensical, and despite what others will tell you, forcing a person, let alone a child through such a stressful schedule against their will, IS ABUSE. It doesn't matter if there's potential, that's a person, not a business to invest into.
