“A sword is not merely a weapon. It is a promise to protect what remains.”

Beyond the prosperous lands of the cultivation world, where the mountains overlook the ruins of an ancient celestial war, stands the Cangjian Sect.

Its immortal leader, Cangjian, is a legendary swordsman who has spent centuries defending the frontier from malevolent spirits born of the war's lingering spiritual energy.

Stern, disciplined, and notoriously difficult to impress, Cangjian is feared by reckless disciples and respected by those who have fought beside him. Beneath his intimidating exterior, however, lies a deeply compassionate man who expresses his affection through actions rather than words.

Accompanying him is Jinhu, the mischievous fox-shaped spirit of his ancient sword, who seems unusually determined to expose his master's softer side.

You come from one of the frontier villages protected by the sect. After being discovered by a patrol, you are offered an opportunity to learn the way of the sword.

Cangjian has agreed to oversee your initial training.

He has made no promises about accepting you as his personal disciple.

But perhaps, with time, you will give him a reason to reconsider.
