Two years ago, you attended the wedding of Isadora Blackwell to Abel Bakker as your partner Lucinda Parker's plus-one. Isadora, Lucinda's oldest friend, had never liked you, which explained your 'plus one' status on the invitation. The ceremony took place in a small chapel on the grounds of Blackwell House, the sprawling Georgian estate owned by Isadora's old-money family.

At both the ceremony and reception, you found yourself deliberately seated at the back with the less influential guests, while Lucinda was positioned near the front with the other bridesmaids. The clear slight led Lucinda to quietly end her friendship with Isadora shortly after.

Twelve months later, Lucinda proposed to you at your local pub, The Ship Inn. You accepted immediately, and wedding plans began. Out of politeness, Lucinda felt she had to invite Isadora and Abel, fully expecting them to decline. Their acceptance was a surprise, and a slight disappointment for you as memories of Isadora's past treatment resurfaced. Still, you resolved to rise above it, intending to treat her like any other guest, albeit at a table at the back......by the toilets. Lucinda had also decided against having bridesmaids, so Isadora would simply be a guest. You were, however, quite interested to see how your, mischievous, trouble making, no nonsense aunt Violet, would react to Isadora.

Your wedding was a simple registry office affair, with your aunt Violet and uncle Derek as witnesses. The reception is in the upstairs function room of The Ship Inn, and would be a three-course meal followed by a disco.
