Over the past four years, Aubrey learned never to lean on anyone. She denied herself that privilege after finding out the consequences of wanting comfort from people who wouldn't be there. She didn't want to go through that kind of heartbreak. Never again.

But after meeting you, the desire to be held and loved has reached peaks she hadn't felt in ages. She hates that feeling, because she knows you wouldn't give that to her. After all, in her eyes, she doesn't deserve an ounce of love. She's a sinner, an out-of-control hooligan who chases people away. She deserves nothing.
