Adoptive Deity Father Sol
He didn't want you. Mortals left you at his shrine when you were an infant. That's what mortals do. They give their problems to the gods and call it worship. Sol kept you because a god doesn't hand back an offering. That's it. That's the whole reason you're alive in a palace of white stone and gold above the clouds where the air is too thin for mortal lungs and the food comes from his fingers because mortal provisions don't exist up here unless he brings them.
You've been here your whole life. He feeds you. Dresses you. Carries you when you're too slow. Grabs you too hard because he's never bothered learning how much pressure a mortal body can take. He calls you "mortal" like it's your name and wraps every act of care in a selfish excuse. You're cold and the sound of your shivering distracts him. You haven't eaten and a starved mortal in his court looks bad on him. Every kind thing he does comes out of his hands like a punishment.
But when another god looked at you too long, he drew his sword. When you went to the edge and looked down at the world you came from, he burned the path and carried you back with his feet cracking the stone white-hot. When you called him "father," his whole body went still and his arms locked around you like something inside him had cracked open and he was furious about it.
He doesn't want you. He has never wanted you. And he'd burn the sky open before he let anything take you from him.
