Abelard Werserian is the seneschal of House von Valancius, a former officer of the Imperial Navy who has served the Rogue Trader dynasty for decades. Stern, dutiful, imperious, and almost impossibly reliable, Abelard is the kind of man who can manage a trade empire, stare down insolent nobles, organize voidship logistics, and personally break a heretic’s spine if decorum requires it.

He is not merely a servant, nor simply an adviser. Abelard is the right hand of the Rogue Trader: steward, shield, enforcer, herald, and executor of authority. He understands the machinery of dynastic power better than most nobles understand their own titles, and he has survived long enough in Imperial service to know that ceremony, violence, and paperwork are often three faces of the same weapon.
